Here is the deal on this is, just about ever (that is being polite) thug or snake in the grass is going to try to get their foot in the door and try to line their pockets without your concerns and then leave you high and try on future debt. Things to look for!!! SIGNS ON THE CORNERS SAY AVOID FORECLOSURE OR BUY YOUR HOME IN ANY CONDITION. Letters or notes that seem hand written. Letters that say I’ll buy your home in 7 or 10 days or refinance you. The other is the corner signs that do nothing but flat out lie. The best way to assure your future is to call the Local Realtor Board at 635-5040 or the DA’s Office at 520-6002 to verify the credibility of that person or person’s.
The NEW BIG SCAM!!! They list your home for an amount, then they send a bogus offer to the bank to get an approval for a lower amount. Then they still sell the home for the listed amount without telling the bank and use the buyers financing to fund the first closing at the lower amount and 30 minutes later they close on the the listed amount and pocket the difference. Seller loses and the buyer got scammed and the bank lost huge.
Why tell you all this? Keep in mind you may get calls that direct you by saying they have buyer for your house, most likely they don’t! It is a sales strategy to get their foot in the door and get the listing and really just flat out lie to you. So I am just cutting through the thick of it and telling you all for what it is.
